Clothing fabrics and other types of fabrics vary in thickness. We all know that thinner fabrics are easier to work with, and there is a wide range of sewing threads to choose from. However, when it comes to fabrics that are both thick and stiff, the choice of sewing thread becomes relatively limited.  

Extra-thick fabrics, such as ABS hard cases, 1000D abrasion-resistant nylon fabric for luggage, car panels, and seat belts, are thick and densely woven. The high temperature at the needle eye during sewing increases the challenge for the sewing thread. Ordinary polyester threads generally cannot withstand the needle eye well, making them prone to wrinkling, untwisting, or even breaking and jamming the machine.  
For these sewing challenges, it is recommended to use Nylon 66 Bonded Thread. Nylon 66 Bonded Thread is made from heat- and wear-resistant 8.5-gram denier Nylon 66 filaments that are twisted together and bonded internally using a bonding process. Its characteristics include high tensile strength, heat resistance, and abrasion resistance. When passing through the needle eye, the bonded thread works together as a single entity, passing through the needle eye smoothly without unraveling or wrinkling, making it suitable for sewing especially thick and stiff fabrics.
